Great success for Sydney Emeralds at the 2010 Synchro Nationals! Sydney Emeralds was well represented at this year National Championship with 18 swimmers (the biggest team entered in the competition). A few swimmers competed in solo events: Li Ching Yew finished 2nd in the Open Category Division A, Erika Bockler 3rd and Jun Yi 5th in Division B, Audrey Cremer finished 2nd in Junior Division B, Amie Thompson 1st in 13-14-15 Division A, Sasha Singer 2nd in Division B, Hope 4th in 12 and under Division B. The 12 and under team finished first in Division B without much competition (only one routine participated) but a great swim for the young ones' first big competition. Amie and Sasha won the duet event in 13-14-15 and qualified to represent Australia at the Oceania Championship. The Free Age Combination routine also finished first. All great results for the club and very encouraging for next National championship which will be held in Brisbane. Congratulations to all swimmers, to their coaches and to the parents for their contribution! Synchronised Swimming display at Cook and Phillip pool on Saturday 15th May
Sydney Emeralds Synchro Club organised a synchronised swimming displayat Cook and Phillip Pool yesterday to raise funds for its swimmers to compete and represent Australia at international competitions. It went very well and we will do it again. Thanks to all the parents for cooking cakes and organising the sausage sizzle. |
